Tau Sa Piah is a flaky, buttery, and sweeet treat that is usually filled with a deliciously fragrance mixture of sweeten mung bean paste.
Legend has it that tau sah piah was created by a pastry chef in the imperial palace during the Ming Dynasty in China, The chef was looking for a way to use up the left over mung bean paste and decided to wrap it in a pasty crust. The dish become so popular that it eventually make its way to Southeast Asia, where it is now a beloved snack.
